Sahih Bukhari 3328 – English Translation
Um Salama رضی اللہ عنہما said, 'O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! Allah does not refrain from saying the truth! Is it obligatory for a woman to take a bath after she gets nocturnal discharge?' He said, 'Yes, if she notices the water (i.e. discharge).' Um Salama رضی اللہ عنہما smiled and said, 'Does a woman get discharge?' Allah's Apostle said. 'Then why does a child resemble (its mother)?"
Sahih Bukhari 3328 – Urdu Translation
ام سلیم رضی اللہ عنہا نے عرض کیا ، یا رسول اللہ ! اللہ تعالیٰ حق بات سے نہیں شرماتا ، تو کیا اگر عورت کو احتلام ہو تو اس پر بھی غسل ہو گا ؟ آپ نے فرمایا کہ ہاں بشرطیکہ وہ تری دیکھ لے ، ام المؤمنین ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہا کو اس بات پر ہنسی آ گئی اور فرمانے لگیں ، کیا عورت کو بھی احتلام ہوتا ہے ؟ آپ نے فرمایا ، ( اگر ایسا نہیں ہے ) تو پھر بچے میں ( ماں کی ) مشابہت کہاں سے آتی ہے ۔
Sahih Bukhari 3328 – Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، أَنَّ أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ، قَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، إِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يَسْتَحْيِي مِنَ الْحَقِّ، فَهَلْ عَلَى الْمَرْأَةِ الْغُسْلُ إِذَا احْتَلَمَتْ قَالَ " نَعَمْ، إِذَا رَأَتِ الْمَاءَ ". فَضَحِكَتْ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ، فَقَالَتْ تَحْتَلِمُ الْمَرْأَةُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " فَبِمَا يُشْبِهُ الْوَلَدُ ".
