Sahih Bukhari 1949 – English Translation
Ibn `Umar رضی اللہ عنہما recited the verse: "They had a choice either to fast or to feed a poor person for every day, and said that the order of this Verse was canceled.

حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے ( آیت مذکور بالا ) «فديه طعام مسكين» پڑھی اور فرمایا یہ منسوخ ہے ۔

حَدَّثَنَا عَيَّاشٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الأَعْلَى، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَرَأَ فِدْيَةٌ طَعَامُ مَسَاكِينَ. قَالَ هِيَ مَنْسُوخَةٌ.
