Sahih Bukhari 1098 – English Translation
At night `Abdullah bin `Umar رضی اللہ عنہما used to offer the prayer on the back of his animal during the journey and never cared about the direction he faced. Ibn `Umar رضی اللہ عنہما said, "Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) used to offer the optional prayer on the back of his Mount facing any direction and also used to pray the witr on it but never offered the compulsory prayer on it."
Sahih Bukhari 1098 – Urdu Translation
عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سفر میں رات کے وقت اپنے جانور پر نماز پڑھتے کچھ پرواہ نہ کرتے کہ اس کا منہ کس طرف ہے ۔ ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہا کہ آنحضرت صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم بھی اونٹنی پر نفل نماز پڑھا کرتے چاہے اس کا منہ کدھر ہی ہو اور وتر بھی سواری پر پڑھ لیتے تھے البتہ فرض اس پر نہیں پڑھتے تھے ۔
Sahih Bukhari 1098 – Arabic Text
وَقَالَ اللَّيْثُ حَدَّثَنِي يُونُسُ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، قَالَ قَالَ سَالِمٌ كَانَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يُصَلِّي عَلَى دَابَّتِهِ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ وَهْوَ مُسَافِرٌ، مَا يُبَالِي حَيْثُ مَا كَانَ وَجْهُهُ. قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يُسَبِّحُ عَلَى الرَّاحِلَةِ قِبَلَ أَىِّ وَجْهٍ تَوَجَّهَ، وَيُوتِرُ عَلَيْهَا، غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ لاَ يُصَلِّي عَلَيْهَا الْمَكْتُوبَةَ.
