Sahih Bukhari 5776 – English Translation
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "No 'Adwa nor Tiyara; but I like Fal." They said, "What is the Fal?" He said, "A good word."
Sahih Bukhari 5776 – Urdu Translation
نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا چھوت لگنا کوئی چیز نہیں ہے اور بد شگونی نہیں ہے البتہ نیک فال مجھے پسند ہے ۔ صحابی نے عرض کیا نیک فال کیا ہے ؟ آنحضرت صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ اچھی بات منہ سے نکالنا یا کسی سے سن لینا ۔

حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " لاَ عَدْوَى، وَلاَ طِيَرَةَ، وَيُعْجِبُنِي الْفَأْلُ ". قَالُوا وَمَا الْفَأْلُ قَالَ " كَلِمَةٌ طَيِّبَةٌ ".
