Sahih Bukhari 4229 – English Translation
`Uthman bin `Affan رضی اللہ عنہ and I went to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said, "You had given Banu Al-Muttalib from the Khumus of Khaibar's booty and left us in spite of the fact that we and Banu Al-Muttalib are similarly related to you." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Banu Hashim and Banu Al-Muttalib only are one and the same." So the Prophet (ﷺ) did not give anything to Banu `Abd Shams and Banu Nawfal.
Sahih Bukhari 4229 – Urdu Translation
میں اور عثمان بن عفان رضی اللہ عنہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئے۔ ہم نے عرض کیا کہ آپ نے بنو مطلب کو تو خیبر کے خمس میں سے عنایت فرمایا ہے اور ہمیں نظر انداز کر دیا ہے حالانکہ آپ سے قرابت میں ہم اور وہ برابر تھے۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا یقیناً بنو ہاشم اور بنو مطلب ایک ہیں۔ جبیر بن مطعم رضی اللہ نے بیان کیا کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے بنو عبد شمس اور بنو نوفل کو ( خمس میں سے ) کچھ نہیں دیا تھا۔
Sahih Bukhari 4229 – Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ يُونُسَ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، أَنَّ جُبَيْرَ بْنَ مُطْعِمٍ، أَخْبَرَهُ قَالَ مَشَيْتُ أَنَا وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ، إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقُلْنَا أَعْطَيْتَ بَنِي الْمُطَّلِبِ مِنْ خُمْسِ خَيْبَرَ، وَتَرَكْتَنَا، وَنَحْنُ بِمَنْزِلَةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ مِنْكَ. فَقَالَ " إِنَّمَا بَنُو هَاشِمٍ وَبَنُو الْمُطَّلِبِ شَىْءٌ وَاحِدٌ ". قَالَ جُبَيْرٌ وَلَمْ يَقْسِمِ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم لِبَنِي عَبْدِ شَمْسٍ وَبَنِي نَوْفَلٍ شَيْئًا.
