Sahih Bukhari 2647 – English Translation
Once the Prophet (ﷺ) came to me while a man was in my house. He said, "O `Aisha! Who is this (man)?" I replied, "My foster brothers" He said, "O `Aisha رضی اللہ عنہا ! Be sure about your foster brothers, as fostership is only valid if it takes place in the suckling period (before two years of age). Ibn-e-Mahdi corroborated him from Sufyan.
Sahih Bukhari 2647 – Urdu Translation
نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ( گھر میں ) تشریف لائے تو میرے یہاں ایک صاحب ( ان کے رضاعی بھائی ) بیٹھے ہوئے تھے ۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے دریافت فرمایا ، عائشہ ! یہ کون ہے ؟ میں نے عرض کیا کہ یہ میرا رضاعی بھائی ہے ۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا ذرا دیکھ بھال کر لو ، کون تمہارا رضاعی بھائی ہے ۔ کیونکہ رضاعت وہی معتبر ہے جو کم سنی میں ہو ۔ محمد بن کثیر کے ساتھ اس حدیث کو عبدالرحمٰن بن مہدی نے سفیان ثوری سے روایت کیا ہے ۔
Sahih Bukhari 2647 – Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ بْنِ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ ـ رضى الله عنها ـ قَالَتْ دَخَلَ عَلَىَّ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَعِنْدِي رَجُلٌ، قَالَ " يَا عَائِشَةُ مَنْ هَذَا ". قُلْتُ أَخِي مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ. قَالَ " يَا عَائِشَةُ، انْظُرْنَ مَنْ إِخْوَانُكُنَّ، فَإِنَّمَا الرَّضَاعَةُ مِنَ الْمَجَاعَةِ ". تَابَعَهُ ابْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ.
