Hadith Text (Arabic)

📜 حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي، سَعِيدٍ قَالَ كَانَ بَيْنَ خَالِدِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ وَبَيْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ شَىْءٌ فَسَبَّهُ خَالِدٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ “‏ لاَ تَسُبُّوا أَحَدًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِي فَإِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ لَوْ أَنْفَقَ مِثْلَ أُحُدٍ ذَهَبًا مَا أَدْرَكَ مُدَّ أَحَدِهِمْ وَلاَ نَصِيفَهُ ‏”‏ ‏.‏

English Translation

🔹 Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri (RA) reported:

There was some dispute between Khalid bin Walid (RA) and ‘Abdur-Rahman bin ‘Auf (RA), and Khalid (RA) reviled him. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

“Do not revile my Companions, for if one of you were to spend the amount of gold equal to Mount Uhud, it would not amount to as much as one mudd of one of them or even half of it.”

📖 Urdu Translation (اردو ترجمہ)

🔹 حضرت ابو سعید خدریؓ روایت کرتے ہیں:

حضرت خالد بن ولیدؓ اور حضرت عبد الرحمٰن بن عوفؓ کے درمیان کچھ معاملہ ہوا، تو خالد بن ولیدؓ نے انہیں سخت الفاظ کہے۔ اس پر رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا:

“میرے صحابہ کو برا مت کہو، کیونکہ اگر تم میں سے کوئی احد پہاڑ جتنا سونا بھی اللہ کی راہ میں خرچ کرے، تب بھی وہ ان کے ایک مُد یا اس کے آدھے کے برابر نہیں ہو سکتا۔”
