📖 Sunni Hadith References on Maghrib & Iftar Time

1. Hadith from Sahih Muslim
   📖 Narrated by Abdullah ibn Abi Awfa (رضي الله عنه):

   “The Prophet ﷺ was traveling while fasting, and when the sun set, he ordered a person to prepare something to drink. The person hesitated, thinking there was still daylight, but the Prophet ﷺ insisted. Then he said:
   ‘When you see the night coming from here (east), the fasting person should break his fast.’”

1. حدیث 1:
   حضرت ابو عبداللہ (علیہ السلام) فرماتے ہیں:

   “سورج غروب ہونے کے وقت اور افطار کے واجب ہونے کے وقت، آدمی کعبہ کی طرف رخ کر کے مشرق کی طرف اٹھنے والی سرخی کو دیکھے، جب یہ سرخی مغرب کی طرف گزر جائے، تو افطار واجب ہو جاتا ہے اور سورج غروب ہو چکا ہوتا ہے۔”

1. حدیث صحیح مسلم:
   حضرت عبداللہ بن ابی اوفی (رضی اللہ عنہ) روایت کرتے ہیں:

   “نبی کریم ﷺ سفر میں روزے سے تھے، جب سورج غروب ہوا تو آپ ﷺ نے پانی لانے کو کہا۔ ایک شخص نے کہا، ابھی دن باقی ہے، لیکن نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا:
   جب تم دیکھو کہ رات مشرق سے آ رہی ہے، تو روزہ افطار کا وقت ہو چکا ہے۔”
