Sahih Bukhari 4320 – English Translation
When we returned from (the battle of) Hunain, `Umar رضی اللہ عنہ asked the Prophet (ﷺ) about a vow which he had made during the Pre-lslamic period of Ignorance that he would perform I`tikaf. The Prophet (ﷺ) ordered him to fulfill his vow. Some people have narrated its chain like this: Hammad from Ayyub, he from Nafii and he from Ibn-e-Umer رضی اللہ عنہما who has reported from the prophet ﷺ. (Imam Bukhari has himself presented this Hadith with two authorities). Thus, other authorities have been mentioned. Thus, there are four chains in total.

جب ہم غزوہ حنین سے واپس ہو رہے تھے تو عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے اپنی ایک نذر کے متعلق پوچھا جو انہوں نے زمانہ جاہلیت میں اعتکاف کی مانی تھی اور نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انہیں اسے پوری کرنے کا حکم دیا اور بعض ( احمد بن عبدہ ضبی ) نے حماد سے بیان کیا، ان سے ایوب نے، ان سے نافع نے اور ان سے ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے۔ اور اس روایت کو جریر بن حازم اور حماد بن سلمہ نے ایوب سے بیان کیا، ان سے نافع نے، ان سے ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے، نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے۔
Sahih Bukhari 4320 – Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ، قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ. حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُقَاتِلٍ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ لَمَّا قَفَلْنَا مِنْ حُنَيْنٍ سَأَلَ عُمَرُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنْ نَذْرٍ كَانَ نَذَرَهُ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ اعْتِكَافٍ، فَأَمَرَهُ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِوَفَائِهِ. وَقَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ حَمَّادٌ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ. وَرَوَاهُ جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ وَحَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم.
