Sahih Bukhari 3873 – English Translation
Um Habiba رضی اللہ عنہا and Um Salama رضی اللہ عنہا mentioned a church they had seen in Ethiopia and in the church there were pictures. When they told the Prophet (ﷺ) of this, he said, "Those people are such that if a pious man amongst them died, they build a place of worship over his grave and paint these pictures in it. Those people will be Allah's worst creatures on the Day of Resurrection . "
Sahih Bukhari 3873 – Urdu Translation
ام حبیبہ رضی اللہ عنہا اور ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے ایک گر جے کا ذکر کیا جسے انہوں نے حبشہ میں دیکھا تھا اس کے اندر تصویریں تھیں ۔ انہوں نے اس کا ذکر نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے سامنے کیا تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا جب ان میں کوئی نیک مرد ہوتا اور اس کی وفات ہو جاتی تو اس کی قبر کو وہ لوگ مسجد بناتے اور پھر اس میں اس کی تصویریں رکھتے ۔ یہ لوگ قیامت کے دن اللہ تعالیٰ کی بارگاہ میں بدتر ین مخلوق ہوں گے ۔
Sahih Bukhari 3873 – Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ـ رضى الله عنها أَنَّ أُمَّ، حَبِيبَةَ وَأُمَّ سَلَمَةَ ذَكَرَتَا كَنِيسَةً رَأَيْنَهَا بِالْحَبَشَةِ، فِيهَا تَصَاوِيرُ، فَذَكَرَتَا لِلنَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ " إِنَّ أُولَئِكَ إِذَا كَانَ فِيهِمُ الرَّجُلُ الصَّالِحُ فَمَاتَ بَنَوْا عَلَى قَبْرِهِ مَسْجِدًا، وَصَوَّرُوا فِيهِ تِيكَ الصُّوَرَ، أُولَئِكَ شِرَارُ الْخَلْقِ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ".
