Sahih Bukhari 2804 – English Translation
Heraclius said to him, "I asked you about the outcome of your battles with him (i.e. the Prophet (ﷺ) ) and you told me that you fought each other with alternate success. So the Apostles are tested in this way but the ultimate victory is always theirs.
Sahih Bukhari 2804 – Urdu Translation
ہرقل نے ان سے کہا تھا میں نے تم سے پوچھا تھا کہ ان کے یعنی ( نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) کے ساتھ تمہاری لڑائیوں کا کیا انجام رہتا ہے تو تم نے بتایا کہ لڑائی ڈولوں کی طرح ہے ‘ کبھی ادھر کبھی ادھر یعنی کبھی لڑائی کا انجام ہمارے حق میں ہوتا ہے اور کبھی ان کے حق میں ۔ انبیاء کا بھی یہی حال ہوتا ہے کہ ان کی آزمائش ہوتی رہتی ہے ( کبھی فتح اور کبھی ہار سے ) لیکن انجام انہیں کے حق میں اچھا ہوتا ہے ۔
Sahih Bukhari 2804 – Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي يُونُسُ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أَبَا سُفْيَانَ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ هِرَقْلَ قَالَ لَهُ سَأَلْتُكَ كَيْفَ كَانَ قِتَالُكُمْ إِيَّاهُ فَزَعَمْتَ أَنَّ الْحَرْبَ سِجَالٌ وَدُوَلٌ، فَكَذَلِكَ الرُّسُلُ تُبْتَلَى ثُمَّ تَكُونُ لَهُمُ الْعَاقِبَةُ.
