Sahih Bukhari 1507 – English Translation
The Prophet (ﷺ) ordered (Muslims) to give one Sa' of dates or one Sa' of barley as Zakat-ul-Fitr. The people rewarded two Mudds of wheat as equal to that.
Sahih Bukhari 1507 – Urdu Translation
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک صاع کھجور یا ایک صاع جَو کی زکوٰۃ فطر دینے کا حکم فرمایا تھا ۔ عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے بیان کیا کہ پھر لوگوں نے اسی کے برابر دو مد ( آدھا صاع ) گیہوں کر لیا تھا ۔

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ، قَالَ أَمَرَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِزَكَاةِ الْفِطْرِ، صَاعًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ، أَوْ صَاعًا مِنْ شَعِيرٍ. قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ فَجَعَلَ النَّاسُ عِدْلَهُ مُدَّيْنِ مِنْ حِنْطَةٍ.
