Sahih Bukhari 1072 – English Translation
I asked Zaid bin Thabit رضی اللہ عنہ about prostration on which he said that he had recited An-Najm before the Prophet, yet he (the Prophet) had not performed a prostration.
Sahih Bukhari 1072 – Urdu Translation
انہوں نے زید بن ثابت رضی اللہ عنہ سے سوال کیا ۔ آپ نے یقین کے ساتھ اس امر کا اظہار کیا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے سامنے سورۃ النجم کی تلاوت آپ نے کی تھی اور آنحضور صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس میں سجدہ نہیں کیا ۔

حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ خُصَيْفَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ قُسَيْطٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ، أَنَّهُ، سَأَلَ زَيْدَ بْنَ ثَابِتٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ فَزَعَمَ أَنَّهُ قَرَأَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم {وَالنَّجْمِ} فَلَمْ يَسْجُدْ فِيهَا.
