Sahih Bukhari 1016 – English Translation
A man came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and said, "Livestock are destroyed and the roads are cut off." So Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) invoked Allah for rain and it rained from that Friday till the next Friday. The same person came again and said, "Houses have collapsed, roads are cut off, and the livestock are destroyed. Please pray to Allah to withhold the rain." Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) (stood up and) said, "O Allah! (Let it rain) on the plateaus, on the hills, in the valleys and over the places where trees grow." So the clouds cleared away from Medina as clothes are taken off .
Sahih Bukhari 1016 – Urdu Translation
ایک آدمی رسول کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا اور عرض کیا کہ جانور ہلاک ہو گئے اور راستے بند ہو گئے ۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے دعا کی اور ایک ہفتہ تک بارش ہوتی رہی پھر ایک شخص آیا اور عرض کیا کہ ( بارش کی کثرت سے ) گھر گر گئے راستے بند ہو گئے ۔ چنانچہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے پھر کھڑے ہو کر دعا کی «اللهم على الآكام والظراب والأودية ومنابت الشجر» کہ اے اللہ ! بارش ٹیلوں ، پہاڑوں ، وادیوں اور باغوں میں برسا ( دعا کے نتیجہ میں ) بادل مدینہ سے اس طرح پھٹ گئے جیسے کپڑا پھٹ کر ٹکڑے ٹکڑے ہو جاتا ہے ۔
Sahih Bukhari 1016 – Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ شَرِيكِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ هَلَكَتِ الْمَوَاشِي وَتَقَطَّعَتِ السُّبُلُ. فَدَعَا، فَمُطِرْنَا مِنَ الْجُمُعَةِ إِلَى الْجُمُعَةِ، ثُمَّ جَاءَ فَقَالَ تَهَدَّمَتِ الْبُيُوتُ وَتَقَطَّعَتِ السُّبُلُ، وَهَلَكَتِ الْمَوَاشِي فَادْعُ اللَّهَ يُمْسِكْهَا. فَقَامَ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ " اللَّهُمَّ عَلَى الآكَامِ وَالظِّرَابِ وَالأَوْدِيَةِ وَمَنَابِتِ الشَّجَرِ ". فَانْجَابَتْ عَنِ الْمَدِينَةِ انْجِيَابَ الثَّوْبِ.
