Sunan Ibn Majah 1639:

Hadith on Fasting of Sunan Ibn Majah 1639 is about Fasting as written by Imam Ibn Majah. The original hadees is in Arabic, with translations in Urdu and English. This chapter, “Fasting,” includes a total of one hundred and forty-five hadiths on the subject. Below is the complete hadees of Sunan Ibn Majah 1639.

Sunan Ibn Majah 1639 English Text:

Mutarrif, from the tribe of Banu ‘Amir bin Sa’sa’ah narrated that ‘Uthman bin Abul-‘As Ath-Thaqafi invited him to drink some milk that he poured for him. Mutarrif said: “I am fasting.” ‘Uthman said: “I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: ‘Fasting is a shield against the Fire just like the shield of anyone of you against fighting.’”

Sunan Ibn Majah 1639 Urdu Text:

قبیلہ عامر بن صعصعہ کے مطرف نامی ایک فرد بیان کرتے ہیں کہ   عثمان بن ابی العاص ثقفی رضی اللہ عنہ نے انہیں پلانے کے لیے دودھ منگایا، تو انہوں نے کہا کہ میں روزے سے ہوں، اس پر عثمان رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے سنا ہے: روزہ جہنم سے ڈھال ہے جیسے تم میں سے کسی کے پاس لڑائی میں ڈھال ہوتی ہے ۔

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ الْمِصْرِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنْبَأَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّمُطَرِّفًا مِنْ بَنِي عَامِرِ بْنِ صَعْصَعَةَ حَدَّثَهُ:‏‏‏‏ أَنَّ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ أَبِي الْعَاصِ الثَّقَفِيَّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏دَعَا لَهُ بِلَبَنٍ يَسْقِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ مُطَرِّفٌ:‏‏‏‏ إِنِّي صَائِمٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ عُثْمَانُ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ الصِّيَامُ جُنَّةٌ مِنَ النَّارِ كَجُنَّةِ أَحَدِكُمْ مِنَ الْقِتَالِ .
