Sahih Bukhari 903 – English Translation
I asked `Amra about taking a bath on Fridays. She replied, " Aisha رضی اللہ عنہا said, 'The people used to work (for their livelihood) and whenever they went for the Jumua prayer, they used to go to the mosque in the same shape as they had been in work. So they were asked to take a bath on Friday.' "
Sahih Bukhari 903 – Urdu Translation
انہوں نے عمرہ بنت عبدالرحمٰن سے جمعہ کے دن غسل کے بارے میں پوچھا ۔ انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا فرماتی تھیں کہ لوگ اپنے کاموں میں مشغول رہتے اور جمعہ کے لیے اسی حالت ( میل کچیل ) میں چلے آتے ، اس لیے ان سے کہا گیا کہ کاش تم لوگ ( کبھی ) غسل کر لیا کرتے ۔

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ عَمْرَةَ عَنِ الْغُسْلِ، يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ فَقَالَتْ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ ـ رضى الله عنها ـ كَانَ النَّاسُ مَهَنَةَ أَنْفُسِهِمْ، وَكَانُوا إِذَا رَاحُوا إِلَى الْجُمُعَةِ رَاحُوا فِي هَيْئَتِهِمْ فَقِيلَ لَهُمْ لَوِ اغْتَسَلْتُمْ.
