Sahih Bukhari 746 – English Translation
Did Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) used to recite (the Qur'an) in the Zuhr and the `Asr prayers. He replied in the affirmative. We said, "How did you come to know about it?" He said, "By the movement of his beard."
Sahih Bukhari 746 – Urdu Translation
کیا رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ظہر اور عصر کی رکعتوں میں ( فاتحہ کے سوا ) اور کچھ قرآت کرتے تھے ؟ انھوں نے فرمایا کہ ہاں ۔ ہم نے عرض کی کہ آپ لوگ یہ بات کس طرح سمجھ جاتے تھے ۔ فرمایا کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی داڑھی مبارک کے ہلنے سے ۔

حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي مَعْمَرٍ، قَالَ قُلْنَا لِخَبَّابٍ أَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقْرَأُ فِي الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ قَالَ نَعَمْ. قُلْنَا بِمَ كُنْتُمْ تَعْرِفُونَ ذَاكَ قَالَ بِاضْطِرَابِ لِحْيَتِهِ.
