Sahih Bukhari 5624 – English Translation
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Extinguish the lamps when you go to bed; close your doors; tie the mouths of your water skins, and cover the food and drinks." I think he added, ". . . even with a stick you place across the container."
Sahih Bukhari 5624 – Urdu Translation
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ تم جب سونے لگو تو چراغ بجھا دو ۔ دروازے بند کر دو ، مشکوں کے منہ باندھ دو اور کھانے پینے کے برتنوں کو ڈھانپ دو ۔ حضرت جابر رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ میرا خیال ہے کہ یہ بھی کہا خواہ لکڑی ہی کے ذریعہ سے ڈھک سکو جو اس کی چوڑائی میں بسم اللہ کہہ کر رکھ دی جائے ۔
Sahih Bukhari 5624 – Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " أَطْفِئُوا الْمَصَابِيحَ إِذَا رَقَدْتُمْ، وَغَلِّقُوا الأَبْوَابَ، وَأَوْكُوا الأَسْقِيَةَ، وَخَمِّرُوا الطَّعَامَ وَالشَّرَابَ ـ وَأَحْسِبُهُ قَالَ ـ وَلَوْ بِعُودٍ تَعْرُضُهُ عَلَيْهِ ".
