Sahih Bukhari 5373 – English Translation
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Give food to the hungry, pay a visit to the sick and release (set free) the one in captivity (by paying his ransom). Sufyan says: ''وَالْعَانِي'' means capative.
Sahih Bukhari 5373 – Urdu Translation
نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ، بھوکے کو کھلاؤ پلاؤ ، بیمار کی مزاج پرسی کرو اور قیدی کو چھڑاؤ ۔ سفیان ثوری نے کہا کہ ( حدیث میں ) لفظ ” عانی “ سے مراد قیدی ہے ۔

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى الأَشْعَرِي ِّ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " أَطْعِمُوا الْجَائِعَ، وَعُودُوا الْمَرِيضَ، وَفُكُّوا الْعَانِيَ ". قَالَ سُفْيَانُ وَالْعَانِي الأَسِيرُ.
