Sahih Bukhari 5263 – English Translation
I asked `Aisha رضی اللہ عنہا about the option: She said, "The Prophet (ﷺ) gave us the option. Do you think that option was considered as a divorce?" I said, "It matters little to me if I give my wife the option once or a hundred times after she has chosen me."
Sahih Bukhari 5263 – Urdu Translation
میں نے حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے ” اختیار “ کے متعلق سوال کیا تو انہوں نے کہا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ہمیں اختیار دیا تھا تو کیا محض یہ اختیار طلاق بن جاتا ۔ مسروق نے کہا کہ اختیار دینے کے بعد اگر تم مجھے پسند کر لیتی ہو تو اس کی کوئی حیثیت نہیں ، چاہے میں ایک مرتبہ اختیار دوں یا سو مرتبہ ( طلاق نہیں ہو گی ) ۔

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَامِرٌ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ عَنِ الْخِيَرَةِ،، فَقَالَتْ خَيَّرَنَا النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَفَكَانَ طَلاَقًا قَالَ مَسْرُوقٌ لاَ أُبَالِي أَخَيَّرْتُهَا وَاحِدَةً أَوْ مِائَةً بَعْدَ أَنْ تَخْتَارَنِي.
