Sahih Bukhari 5056 – English Translation
The Prophet (ﷺ) said to me, "Recite Qur'an to me." I said to him. "Shall I recite (it) to you while it has been revealed to you?" He said, "I like to hear it from another person."
Sahih Bukhari 5056 – Urdu Translation
مجھ سے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فر مایا مجھے قرآن مجید پڑھ کر سناو ۔ میں نے عرض کیا کیا میں سناؤں آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پر تو قر آن مجید نازل ہوتا ہے ۔ آنحضرت صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ میں کسی سے سننا محبوب رکھتا ہوں ۔

حَدَّثَنَا قَيْسُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَبِيدَةَ السَّلْمَانِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ قَالَ لِي النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " اقْرَأْ عَلَىَّ ". قُلْتُ أَقْرَأُ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَيْكَ أُنْزِلَ قَالَ " إِنِّي أُحِبُّ أَنْ أَسْمَعَهُ مِنْ غَيْرِي ".
