Sahih Bukhari 5049 – English Translation
The Prophet (ﷺ) said to him, "Recite the Qur'an to me." `Abdullah said, "Shall I recite (the Qur'an) to you while it has been revealed to you?" He said, "I like to hear it from others."
Sahih Bukhari 5049 – Urdu Translation
مجھ سے رسول کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ، مجھے قرآن مجید پڑھ کر سناؤ ۔ میں نے عرض کیا میں آپ کو قرآن سناؤں آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پر تو قرآن نازل ہوتا ہے ۔ آنحضرت صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ میں قر آن مجید دوسرے سے سننا محبوب رکھتا ہوں ۔
Sahih Bukhari 5049 – Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصِ بْنِ غِيَاثٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ، عَنْ عَبِيدَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، رضى الله عنه قَالَ قَالَ لِي النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " اقْرَأْ عَلَىَّ الْقُرْآنَ ". قُلْتُ آقْرَأُ عَلَيْكَ وَعَلَيْكَ أُنْزِلَ قَالَ " إِنِّي أُحِبُّ أَنْ أَسْمَعَهُ مِنْ غَيْرِي ".
