Sahih Bukhari 5043 – English Translation
We went to `Abdullah رضی اللہ عنہ in the morning and a man said, "Yesterday I recited all the Mufassal Suras." On that `Abdullah رضی اللہ عنہ said, "That is very quick, and we have the (Prophet's) recitation, and I remember very well the recitation of those Suras which the Prophet (ﷺ) used to recite, and they were eighteen Suras from the Mufassal, and two Suras from the Suras that start with Ha Mim.
Sahih Bukhari 5043 – Urdu Translation
ہم ان کی خدمت میں صبح سویرے حاضر ہوئے ۔ حاضر ین میں سے ایک صاحب نے کہا کہ رات میں نے ( تمام ) مفصل سورتیں پڑھ ڈالیں ۔ اس پر عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہما بولے جیسے اشعار جلدی جلدی پڑھتے ہیں تم نے ویسے ہی پڑھ لی ہو گی ۔ ہم سے قرآت سنی ہے اور مجھے وہ جوڑ والی سورتیں بھی یاد ہیں جن کو ملا کر نمازوں میں نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پڑھا کرتے تھے ۔ یہ اٹھارہ سورتیں مفصل کی ہیں اور وہ دو سورتیں جن کے شروع میں حم ہے ۔

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ، حَدَّثَنَا مَهْدِيُّ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وَاصِلٌ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ غَدَوْنَا عَلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ قَرَأْتُ الْمُفَصَّلَ الْبَارِحَةَ. فَقَالَ هَذًّا كَهَذِّ الشِّعْرِ، إِنَّا قَدْ سَمِعْنَا الْقِرَاءَةَ وَإِنِّي لأَحْفَظُ الْقُرَنَاءَ الَّتِي كَانَ يَقْرَأُ بِهِنَّ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ثَمَانِيَ عَشْرَةَ سُورَةً مِنَ الْمُفَصَّلِ وَسُورَتَيْنِ مِنْ آلِ حم.
