The prophet ﷺ would face the both edges (ways: irfan) of that mountain which is between it and the long mountain in the direction of the ka,aba. Then, he ﷺ kept the Mosque which had been built their on the left sideof that Mosque which is situated on the edge of the mound. And the place where the prophet ﷺ would perform prayer is on the black mound under it, and you, leaving an area of ten yards or similar to it from the mound, should perform prayer before the both edges of the mountain that is between you and the kaaba.

نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس پہاڑ کے دونوں کونوں کا رخ کیا جو اس کے اور جبل طویل کے درمیان کعبہ کی سمت ہیں ۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اس مسجد کو جو اب وہاں تعمیر ہوئی ہے اپنی بائیں طرف کر لیتے ٹیلے کے کنارے ۔ اور نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے نماز پڑھنے کی جگہ اس سے نیچے سیاہ ٹیلے پر تھی ٹیلے سے تقریباً دس ہاتھ چھوڑ کر پہاڑ کی دونوں گھاٹیوں کی طرف رخ کر کے نماز پڑھتے جو تمہارے اور کعبہ کے درمیان ہے ۔

وَأَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم اسْتَقْبَلَ فُرْضَتَىِ الْجَبَلِ الَّذِي بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْجَبَلِ الطَّوِيلِ نَحْوَ الْكَعْبَةِ، فَجَعَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ الَّذِي بُنِيَ ثَمَّ يَسَارَ الْمَسْجِدِ بِطَرَفِ الأَكَمَةِ، وَمُصَلَّى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَسْفَلَ مِنْهُ عَلَى الأَكَمَةِ السَّوْدَاءِ، تَدَعُ مِنَ الأَكَمَةِ عَشَرَةَ أَذْرُعٍ أَوْ نَحْوَهَا، ثُمَّ تُصَلِّي مُسْتَقْبِلَ الْفُرْضَتَيْنِ مِنَ الْجَبَلِ الَّذِي بَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَ الْكَعْبَةِ‏.‏
