Sahih Bukhari 4908 – English Translation
He had divorced his wife while she was in her menses so `Umar رضی اللہ عنہ informed Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) of that. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) became very angry at that and said, "(Ibn `Umar رضی اللہ عنہ must return her to his house and keep her as his wife till she becomes clean and then menstruates and becomes clean again, whereupon, if he wishes to divorce her, he may do so while she is still clean and before having any sexual relations with her, for that is the legally prescribed period for divorce as Allah has ordered."
Sahih Bukhari 4908 – Urdu Translation
انہوں نے اپنی بیوی آمنہ بنت غفار کو جبکہ وہ حائضہ تھیں طلاق دے دی۔ عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے اس کا ذکر کیا۔ آپ اس پر بہت غصہ ہوئے اور فرمایا کہ وہ ان سے ( اپنی بیوی سے ) رجوع کر لیں اور اپنے نکاح میں رکھیں یہاں تک کہ وہ ماہواری سے پاک ہو جائے پھر ماہواری آئے اور پھر وہ اس سے پاک ہو، اب اگر وہ طلاق دینا مناسب سمجھیں تو اس کی پاکی ( طہر ) کے زمانہ میں ان کے ساتھ ہمبستری سے پہلے طلاق دے سکتے ہیں بس یہی وہ وقت ہے جس میں اللہ تعالیٰ نے ( مردوں کو ) حکم دیا ہے کہ اس میں یعنی حالت طہر میں طلاق دیں۔
Sahih Bukhari 4908 – Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عُقَيْلٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي سَالِمٌ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ، طَلَّقَ امْرَأَتَهُ وَهْىَ حَائِضٌ، فَذَكَرَ عُمَرُ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَتَغَيَّظَ فِيهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ثُمَّ قَالَ " لِيُرَاجِعْهَا ثُمَّ يُمْسِكْهَا حَتَّى تَطْهُرَ، ثُمَّ تَحِيضَ فَتَطْهُرَ، فَإِنْ بَدَا لَهُ أَنْ يُطَلِّقَهَا فَلْيُطَلِّقْهَا طَاهِرًا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَمَسَّهَا فَتِلْكَ الْعِدَّةُ كَمَا أَمَرَهُ اللَّهُ ".
