Sahih Bukhari 4857 – English Translation
I asked Zirr about the Statement of Allah: 'And was at a distance of but two bow-lengths or (even) nearer. So did Allah convey the Inspiration to His slave (Gabriel) and then he (Gabriel) conveyed that to Muhammad.' (53.10) He said, "Abdullah (bin Mas`ud رضی اللہ عنہ) informed us that Muhammad had seen Gabriel with six hundred wings."
Sahih Bukhari 4857 – Urdu Translation
میں نے زر بن حبیش سے اس آیت کے بارے میں پوچھا «فكان قاب قوسين أو أدنى * فأوحى إلى عبده ما أوحى» الخ یعنی سو دو کمانوں کا فاصلہ رہ گیا بلکہ اور بھی کم۔ پھر اللہ نے اپنے بندے پر وحی کی جو کچھ بھی نازل کیا تو انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ ہمیں عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ نے خبر دی کہ محمد صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے جبرائیل علیہ السلام کو دیکھا تھا جن کے چھ سو پر تھے۔
Sahih Bukhari 4857 – Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا طَلْقُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ، عَنِ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ زِرًّا عَنْ قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى {فَكَانَ قَابَ قَوْسَيْنِ أَوْ أَدْنَى * فَأَوْحَى إِلَى عَبْدِهِ مَا أَوْحَى} قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا صلى الله عليه وسلم رَأَى جِبْرِيلَ لَهُ سِتُّمِائَةِ جَنَاحٍ.
