Sahih Bukhari 4836 – English Translation
The Prophet (ﷺ) used to offer night prayers till his feet became swollen. Somebody said, to him," "Allah has forgiven you, your faults of the past and those to follow." On that, he said, "Shouldn't I be a thankful slave of Allah)?"
Sahih Bukhari 4836 – Urdu Translation
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نماز میں رات بھر کھڑے رہے یہاں تک کہ آپ کے دونوں پاؤں سوج گئے۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے عرض کیا گیا کہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے تو آپ کی اگلی پچھلی تمام خطائیں معاف کر دی ہیں۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ کیا میں شکر گزار بندہ نہ بنوں؟
Sahih Bukhari 4836 – Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا صَدَقَةُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا زِيَادٌ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ الْمُغِيرَةَ، يَقُولُ قَامَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم حَتَّى تَوَرَّمَتْ قَدَمَاهُ فَقِيلَ لَهُ غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَكَ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِكَ وَمَا تَأَخَّرَ قَالَ " أَفَلاَ أَكُونُ عَبْدًا شَكُورًا ".
