Sahih Bukhari 4669 – English Translation
"Allah's Messenger (ﷺ), used to order us to give alms. So one of us would exert himself to earn one Mud (special measure of wheat or dates, etc.,) to give in charity; while today one of us may have one hundred thousand." Shaqiq said: As if Abu Masud referred to himself.
Sahih Bukhari 4669 – Urdu Translation
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم صدقہ کی ترغیب دیتے تھے تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے بعض صحابہ مزدوری کر کے لاتے اور ( بڑی مشکل سے ) ایک مد کا صدقہ کر سکتے لیکن آج انہیں میں بعض ایسے ہیں جن کے پاس لاکھوں درہم ہیں۔ غالباً ان کا اشارہ خود اپنی طرف تھا ( حماد نے کہا ہاں سچ ہے ) ۔
Sahih Bukhari 4669 – Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ قُلْتُ لأَبِي أُسَامَةَ أَحَدَّثَكُمْ زَائِدَةُ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ شَقِيقٍ عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ الأَنْصَارِيِّ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَأْمُرُ بِالصَّدَقَةِ، فَيَحْتَالُ أَحَدُنَا حَتَّى يَجِيءَ بِالْمُدِّ، وَإِنَّ لأَحَدِهِمِ الْيَوْمَ مِائَةَ أَلْفٍ. كَأَنَّهُ يُعَرِّضُ بِنَفْسِهِ.
