Sahih Bukhari 4661 – English Translation
We went out with 'Abdullãh bin 'Umar رضی اللہ عنہما and he said, "This (Verse) was revealed before the prescription of Zakat, and when Zakãt was prescribed, Allah made it a means of purifying one's wealth."
Sahih Bukhari 4661 – Urdu Translation
ہم عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کے ساتھ نکلے تو انہوں نے کہا کہ یہ ( مذکورہ بالا آیت ) زکوٰۃ کے حکم سے پہلے نازل ہوئی تھی۔ پھر جب زکوٰۃ کا حکم ہو گیا تو اللہ تعالیٰ نے زکوٰۃ سے مالوں کو پاک کر دیا۔

وَقَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ شَبِيبِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنْ يُونُسَ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، قَالَ خَرَجْنَا مَعَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ فَقَالَ هَذَا قَبْلَ أَنْ تُنْزَلَ، الزَّكَاةُ، فَلَمَّا أُنْزِلَتْ جَعَلَهَا اللَّهُ طُهْرًا لِلأَمْوَالِ.
