Sahih Bukhari 4459 – English Translation
It was mentioned in the presence of `Aisha رضی اللہ عنہا that the Prophet (ﷺ) had appointed `Ali رضی اللہ عنہ as successor by will. Thereupon she said, "Who said so? I saw the Prophet, while I was supporting him against my chest. He asked for a tray, and then fell on one side and expired, and I did not feel it. So how (do the people say) he appointed `Ali رضی اللہ عنہ as his successor?"
Sahih Bukhari 4459 – Urdu Translation
عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے سامنے اس کا ذکر آیا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے علی رضی اللہ عنہ کو کوئی ( خاص ) وصیت کی تھی؟ تو انہوں نے بتلایا کون کہتا ہے، میں خود نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر تھی، آپ میرے سینے سے ٹیک لگائے ہوئے تھے، آپ نے طشت منگوایا، پھر ایک طرف جھک گئے اور آپ کی وفات ہو گئی۔ اس وقت مجھے بھی کچھ معلوم نہیں ہوا، پھر علی رضی اللہ عنہ کو آپ نے کب وصی بنا دیا۔

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَزْهَرُ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ، قَالَ ذُكِرَ عِنْدَ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَوْصَى إِلَى عَلِيٍّ، فَقَالَتْ مَنْ قَالَهُ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَإِنِّي لَمُسْنِدَتُهُ إِلَى صَدْرِي، فَدَعَا بِالطَّسْتِ فَانْخَنَثَ فَمَاتَ، فَمَا شَعَرْتُ، فَكَيْفَ أَوْصَى إِلَى عَلِيٍّ
