Sahih Bukhari 4423 – English Translation
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) returned from the Ghazwa of Tabuk, and when he approached Medina, he said, "There are some people in Medina who were with you all the time, you did not travel any portion of the journey nor crossed any valley, but they were with you they (i.e. the people) said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! Even though they were at Medina?" He said, "Yes, because they were stopped by a genuine excuse."
Sahih Bukhari 4423 – Urdu Translation
جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم غزوہ تبوک سے واپس ہوئے۔ اور مدینہ کے قریب پہنچے تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ مدینہ میں بہت سے ایسے لوگ ہیں کہ جہاں بھی تم چلے اور جس وادی کو بھی تم نے قطع کیا وہ ( اپنے دل سے ) تمہارے ساتھ ساتھ تھے۔ صحابہ رضی اللہ عنہم نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! اگرچہ ان کا قیام اس وقت بھی مدینہ میں ہی رہا ہو؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ہاں، وہ مدینہ میں رہتے ہوئے بھی ( اپنے دل سے تمہارے ساتھ تھے ) وہ کسی عذر کی وجہ سے رک گئے تھے۔
Sahih Bukhari 4423 – Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ، أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدٌ الطَّوِيلُ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم رَجَعَ مِنْ غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكَ فَدَنَا مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ فَقَالَ " إِنَّ بِالْمَدِينَةِ أَقْوَامًا مَا سِرْتُمْ مَسِيرًا وَلاَ قَطَعْتُمْ وَادِيًا إِلاَّ كَانُوا مَعَكُمْ ". قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَهُمْ بِالْمَدِينَةِ قَالَ " وَهُمْ بِالْمَدِينَةِ، حَبَسَهُمُ الْعُذْرُ ".
