Sahih Bukhari 4384 – English Translation
My brother and I came from Yemen (to Medina) and remained for some time, thinking that Ibn Masud رضی اللہ عنہ and his mother belonged to the family of the Prophet (ﷺ) because of their frequent entrance (upon the Prophet) and their being attached to him.
Sahih Bukhari 4384 – Urdu Translation
میں اور میرے بھائی ابورحم یا ابوبردہ یمن سے آئے تو ہم ( ابتداء میں ) بہت دنوں تک یہ سمجھتے رہے کہ ابن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ اور ان کی والدہ ام عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہما دونوں نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے اہل بیت میں سے ہیں کیونکہ یہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے گھر میں رات دن بہت آیا جایا کرتے تھے اور ہر وقت نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ رہا کرتے تھے۔

حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ قَدِمْتُ أَنَا وَأَخِي، مِنَ الْيَمَنِ، فَمَكَثْنَا حِينًا مَا نُرَى ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ وَأُمَّهُ إِلاَّ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَيْتِ، مِنْ كَثْرَةِ دُخُولِهِمْ وَلُزُومِهِمْ لَهُ.
