Sahih Bukhari 4271 – English Translation
I fought seven Ghazwat (i.e. battles) along with the Prophet (ﷺ) and also fought in nine battles, fought by armies sent by the Prophet (ﷺ) . Once Abu Bakr رضی اللہ عنہ was our commander and another time, Usama رضی اللہ عنہ was (our commander).

میں نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ سات غزووں میں شریک رہا ہوں اور نو ایسی لڑائیوں میں گیا ہوں جن کو خود نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے بھیجا تھا۔ کبھی ہمارے امیر ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ ہوتے اور کبھی اسامہ رضی اللہ عنہ ہوتے۔

وَقَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصِ بْنِ غِيَاثٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سَلَمَةَ، يَقُولُ غَزَوْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم سَبْعَ غَزَوَاتٍ، وَخَرَجْتُ فِيمَا يَبْعَثُ مِنَ الْبَعْثِ تِسْعَ غَزَوَاتٍ، عَلَيْنَا مَرَّةً أَبُو بَكْرٍ، وَمَرَّةً أُسَامَةُ.
