Sahih Bukhari 4250 – English Translation
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) appointed Usama bin Zaid رضی اللہ عنہما as the commander of some people. Those people criticized his leadership. The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "If you speak ill of his leadership, you have already spoken ill of his father's leadership before. By Allah, he deserved to be a Commander, and he was one of the most beloved persons to me and now this (i.e. Usama) is one of the most beloved persons to me after him.
Sahih Bukhari 4250 – Urdu Translation
ایک جماعت کا امیر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اسامہ بن زید رضی اللہ عنہما کو بنایا۔ ان کی امارت پر بعض لوگوں کو اعتراض ہوا تو نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ آج تم کو اس کی امارت پر اعتراض ہے تم ہی کچھ دن پہلے اس کے باپ کی امارت پر اعتراض کر چکے ہو۔ حالانکہ اللہ کی قسم وہ امارت کے مستحق و اہل تھے۔ اس کے علاوہ وہ مجھے سب سے زیادہ عزیز تھے جس طرح یہ اسامہ رضی اللہ عنہ ان کے بعد مجھے سب سے زیادہ عزیز ہے۔
Sahih Bukhari 4250 – Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ أَمَّرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أُسَامَةَ عَلَى قَوْمٍ، فَطَعَنُوا فِي إِمَارَتِهِ، فَقَالَ " إِنْ تَطْعَنُوا فِي إِمَارَتِهِ، فَقَدْ طَعَنْتُمْ فِي إِمَارَةِ أَبِيهِ مِنْ قَبْلِهِ، وَايْمُ اللَّهِ لَقَدْ كَانَ خَلِيقًا لِلإِمَارَةِ، وَإِنْ كَانَ مِنْ أَحَبِّ النَّاسِ إِلَىَّ، وَإِنَّ هَذَا لَمِنْ أَحَبِّ النَّاسِ إِلَىَّ بَعْدَهُ ".
