Sahih Bukhari 4075 – English Translation
"By Allah, I know who washed the wounds of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and who poured water (for washing them), and with what he was treated." Sahl added, "Fatima رضی اللہ عنہا , the daughter of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) used to wash the wounds, and `Ali bin Abi Talib رضی اللہ عنہ used to pour water from a shield. When Fatima رضی اللہ عنہا saw that the water aggravated the bleeding, she took a piece of a mat, burnt it, and inserted its ashes into the wound so that the blood was congealed (and bleeding stopped). His canine tooth got broken on that day, and face was wounded, and his helmet was broken on his head."

اللہ کی قسم! مجھے اچھی طرح یاد ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے زخموں کو کس نے دھویا تھا اور کون ان پر پانی ڈال رہا تھا اور جس دوا سے آپ کا علاج کیا گیا۔ انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ فاطمہ رضی اللہ عنہا رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی صاحبزادی خون کو دھو رہی تھیں۔ علی رضی اللہ عنہ ڈھال سے پانی ڈال رہے تھے۔ جب فاطمہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے دیکھا کہ پانی ڈالنے سے خون اور زیادہ نکلا آ رہا ہے تو انہوں نے چٹائی کا ایک ٹکڑا لے کر جلایا اور پھر اسے زخم پر چپکا دیا جس سے خون کا آنا بند ہو گیا۔ اسی دن نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے آگے کے دندان مبارک شہید ہوئے تھے۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا چہرہ مبارک بھی زخمی ہو گیا تھا اور خود سر مبارک پر ٹوٹ گئی تھی۔

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ سَهْلَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ، وَهْوَ يُسْأَلُ عَنْ جُرْحِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ أَمَا وَاللَّهِ إِنِّي لأَعْرِفُ مَنْ كَانَ يَغْسِلُ جُرْحَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَمَنْ كَانَ يَسْكُبُ الْمَاءَ وَبِمَا دُووِيَ ـ قَالَ كَانَتْ فَاطِمَةُ ـ عَلَيْهَا السَّلاَمُ ـ بِنْتُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم تَغْسِلُهُ وَعَلِيٌّ يَسْكُبُ الْمَاءَ بِالْمِجَنِّ، فَلَمَّا رَأَتْ فَاطِمَةُ أَنَّ الْمَاءَ لاَ يَزِيدُ الدَّمَ إِلاَّ كَثْرَةً أَخَذَتْ قِطْعَةً مِنْ حَصِيرٍ، فَأَحْرَقَتْهَا وَأَلْصَقَتْهَا فَاسْتَمْسَكَ الدَّمُ، وَكُسِرَتْ رَبَاعِيَتُهُ يَوْمَئِذٍ، وَجُرِحَ وَجْهُهُ، وَكُسِرَتِ الْبَيْضَةُ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ.
