Sahih Bukhari 4062 – English Translation
I have been in the company of `Abdur Rahman bin `Auf, Talha bin 'Ubaidullah, Al-Miqdad and Sa`d رضی اللہ عنہم, and I heard none of them narrating anything from the Prophet (ﷺ) excepting the fact that I heard Talha رضی اللہ عنہ narrating about the day of Uhud (battle) .

میں، عبدالرحمٰن بن عوف، طلحہ بن عبیداللہ، مقداد بن اسود اور سعد بن ابی وقاص رضی اللہ عنہم کی صحبت میں رہا ہوں لیکن میں نے ان حضرات میں سے کسی کو نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے کوئی حدیث بیان کرتے نہیں سنا۔ صرف طلحہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے غزوہ احد کے متعلق حدیث سنی تھی۔

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي الأَسْوَدِ، حَدَّثَنَا حَاتِمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يُوسُفَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ السَّائِبَ بْنَ يَزِيدَ، قَالَ صَحِبْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ وَطَلْحَةَ بْنَ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ وَالْمِقْدَادَ وَسَعْدًا رضى الله عنهم فَمَا سَمِعْتُ أَحَدًا مِنْهُمْ يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم، إِلاَّ أَنِّي سَمِعْتُ طَلْحَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ يَوْمِ أُحُدٍ
