Sahih Bukhari 4008 – English Translation
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "It is sufficient for one to recite the last two Verses of Surat-al-Baqara at night." Abdur Rehman (bin Yazeed) narrates: I visited Hadrat Abu Masoud رضی اللہ عنہ When he was performing circumambulation of the Ka'bah and asked him of it, so he narrated me the Hadith in the same way.
Sahih Bukhari 4008 – Urdu Translation
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ سورۃ البقرہ کی دو آیتیں ( «امن الرسول» سے آخر تک ) ایسی ہیں کہ جو شخص رات میں انہیں پڑھ لے وہ اس کے لیے کافی ہو جاتی ہیں۔ عبدالرحمٰن نے بیان کیا کہ پھر میں نے خود ابومسعود رضی اللہ عنہ سے ملاقات کی، وہ اس وقت بیت اللہ کا طواف کر رہے تھے۔ میں نے ان سے اس حدیث کے متعلق پوچھا تو انہوں نے یہ حدیث مجھ سے بیان کی۔
Sahih Bukhari 4008 – Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ الْبَدْرِيِّ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " الآيَتَانِ مِنْ آخِرِ سُورَةِ الْبَقَرَةِ مَنْ قَرَأَهُمَا فِي لَيْلَةٍ كَفَتَاهُ ". قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ فَلَقِيتُ أَبَا مَسْعُودٍ وَهْوَ يَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ، فَسَأَلْتُهُ فَحَدَّثَنِيهِ.
