Sahih Bukhari 4007 – English Translation
"Al-Mughira bin Shu`ba رضی اللہ عنہ delayed the `Asr prayer when he was the ruler of Al-Kufa. On that, Abu Mas`ud. `Uqba bin `Amr Al-Ansari رضی اللہ عنہ , the grand-father of Zaid bin Hasan, who was one of the Badr warriors, came in and said, (to Al-Mughira), 'You know that Gabriel came down and offered the prayer and Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) prayed five prescribed prayers, and Gabriel said (to the Prophet (ﷺ) ), "I have been ordered to do so (i.e. offer these five prayers at these fixed stated hours of the day). Bashir bin Abu Masoud would report this Hadith from his father liktwise.

مغیرہ بن شعبہ رضی اللہ عنہ جب کوفہ کے امیر تھے، تو انہوں نے ایک دن عصر کی نماز میں دیر کی۔ اس پر زید بن حسن کے نانا ابومسعود عقبہ بن عمرو انصاری رضی اللہ عنہ ان کے یہاں گئے۔ وہ بدر کی لڑائی میں شریک ہونے والے صحابہ میں سے تھے اور کہا: آپ کو معلوم ہے کہ جبرائیل علیہ السلام ( نماز کا طریقہ بتانے کے لیے ) آئے اور آپ نے نماز پڑھی اور نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان کے پیچھے نماز پڑھی، پانچوں وقت کی نمازیں۔ پھر فرمایا کہ اسی طرح مجھے حکم ملا ہے۔ بشیر بن ابی مسعود بھی یہ حدیث اپنے والد سے بیان کرتے تھے۔

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، سَمِعْتُ عُرْوَةَ بْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ، يُحَدِّثُ عُمَرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ فِي إِمَارَتِهِ أَخَّرَ الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ شُعْبَةَ الْعَصْرَ وَهْوَ أَمِيرُ الْكُوفَةِ، فَدَخَلَ أَبُو مَسْعُودٍ عُقْبَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الأَنْصَارِيُّ جَدُّ زَيْدِ بْنِ حَسَنٍ شَهِدَ بَدْرًا فَقَالَ لَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ نَزَلَ جِبْرِيلُ فَصَلَّى فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم خَمْسَ صَلَوَاتٍ ثُمَّ قَالَ هَكَذَا أُمِرْتَ. كَذَلِكَ كَانَ بَشِيرُ بْنُ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ.
