`Ali رضی اللہ عنہ led the funeral prayer of Sahl bin Hunaif رضی اللہ عنہ and said, "He was one of the warriors of Badr."

علی رضی اللہ عنہ نے سہل بن حنیف رضی اللہ عنہ کے جنازے پر تکبیریں کہیں اور کہا کہ وہ بدر کی لڑائی میں شریک تھے۔

حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، قَالَ أَنْفَذَهُ لَنَا ابْنُ الأَصْبَهَانِيِّ سَمِعَهُ مِنِ ابْنِ مَعْقِلٍ، أَنَّ عَلِيًّا ـ رضى الله عنه ـ كَبَّرَ عَلَى سَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ فَقَالَ إِنَّهُ شَهِدَ بَدْرًا.
