Sahih Bukhari 3986 – English Translation
On the day of Uhud the Prophet (ﷺ) appointed `Abdullah bin Jubair رضی اللہ عنہ as chief of the archers, and seventy among us were injured and martyred. On the day (of the battle) of Badr, the Prophet (ﷺ) and his companions had inflicted 140 casualties on the pagans, 70 were taken prisoners, and 70 were killed. Abu Sufyan said, "This is a day of (revenge) for the day of Badr and the issue of war is undecided ."
Sahih Bukhari 3986 – Urdu Translation
نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے احد کی لڑائی میں تیر اندازوں پر عبداللہ بن جبیر رضی اللہ عنہ کو سردار مقرر کیا تھا اس لڑائی میں ہمارے ستر آدمی شہید ہوئے تھے۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اور آپ کے صحابیوں سے بدر کی لڑائی میں ایک سو چالیس مشرکین کو نقصان پہنچا تھا۔ ستر ان میں سے قتل کر دئیے گئے اور ستر قیدی بنا کر لائے گئے اس پر ابوسفیان نے کہا کہ آج کا دن بدر کے دن کا بدلہ ہے اور لڑائی کی مثال ڈول کی سی ہے۔

حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ خَالِدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الْبَرَاءَ بْنَ عَازِبٍ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ جَعَلَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَلَى الرُّمَاةِ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ، فَأَصَابُوا مِنَّا سَبْعِينَ، وَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَأَصْحَابُهُ أَصَابُوا مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ أَرْبَعِينَ وَمِائَةً سَبْعِينَ أَسِيرًا وَسَبْعِينَ قَتِيلاً. قَالَ أَبُو سُفْيَانَ يَوْمٌ بِيَوْمِ بَدْرٍ، وَالْحَرْبُ سِجَالٌ.
