Sahih Bukhari 3970 – English Translation
A man asked Al-Bara' رضی اللہ عنہ and I was listening, "Did `Ali رضی اللہ عنہ take part in (the battle of) Badr?" Al-Bara' said, "(Yes). he even met (his enemies) in a duel and was clad in two armors (one over the other).

ایک شخص نے براء رضی اللہ عنہ سے پوچھا اور میں سن رہا تھا کہ کیا علی رضی اللہ عنہ بدر کی جنگ میں شریک تھے؟ انہوں نے کہا کہ ہاں انہوں نے تو مبارزت کی تھی اور غالب رہے تھے۔

حَدَّثَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ الْبَرَاءَ وَأَنَا أَسْمَعُ، قَالَ أَشَهِدَ عَلِيٌّ بَدْرًا قَالَ بَارَزَ وَظَاهَرَ.
