Sahih Bukhari 3960 – English Translation
The Prophet (ﷺ) faced the Ka`ba and invoked evil on some people of Quraish, on Shaiba bin Rabi`a, `Utba bin Rabi`a, Al-Walid bin `Utba and Abu Jahl bin Hisham. I bear witness, by Allah, that I saw them all dead in Badr and their corpses had due to heat, and that day was really a scorcher.

نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے کعبہ کی طرف منہ کر کے کفار قریش کے چند لوگوں شیبہ بن ربیعہ، عتبہ بن ربیعہ، ولید بن عتبہ اور ابوجہل بن ہشام کے حق میں بددعا کی تھی۔ میں اس کے لیے اللہ کو گواہ بناتا ہوں کہ میں نے ( بدر کے میدان میں ) ان کی لاشیں پڑی ہوئی پائیں۔ سورج نے ان کی لاشوں کو بدبودار کر دیا تھا۔ اس دن بڑی گرمی تھی۔

حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ خَالِدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ اسْتَقْبَلَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم الْكَعْبَةَ فَدَعَا عَلَى نَفَرٍ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ، عَلَى شَيْبَةَ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ، وَعُتْبَةَ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ وَالْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ، وَأَبِي جَهْلِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ. فَأَشْهَدُ بِاللَّهِ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُهُمْ صَرْعَى، قَدْ غَيَّرَتْهُمُ الشَّمْسُ، وَكَانَ يَوْمًا حَارًّا.
