Sahih Bukhari 3920 – English Translation
"When the Prophet (ﷺ) arrived at Medina, the eldest amongst his companions was Abu Bakr رضی اللہ عنہ. He dyed his hair with Hinna and Katam till it became of dark red color.
Sahih Bukhari 3920 – Urdu Translation
جب نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم مدینہ تشریف لائے تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے اصحاب میں سب سے زیادہ عمر ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ کی تھی اس لئے انہوں نے مہندی اور وسمہ کا خضاب استعمال کیا ۔ اس سے آپ کے بالوں کا رنگ خوب سرخ مائل بہ سیاہی ہو گیا ۔

وَقَالَ دُحَيْمٌ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَوْزَاعِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ وَسَّاجٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ قَدِمَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم الْمَدِينَةَ، فَكَانَ أَسَنَّ أَصْحَابِهِ أَبُو بَكْرٍ، فَغَلَفَهَا بِالْحِنَّاءِ وَالْكَتَمِ حَتَّى قَنَأَ لَوْنُهَا.
