Sahih Bukhari 3883 – English Translation
The said to the Prophet (ﷺ) "You have not been of any avail to your uncle (Abu Talib) (though) by Allah, he used to protect you and used to become angry on your behalf." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "He is in a shallow fire, and had It not been for me, he would have been in the bottom of the (Hell) Fire."
Sahih Bukhari 3883 – Urdu Translation
انہوں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے پوچھا آپ اپنے چچا ( ابوطالب ) کے کیا کام آئے کہ وہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی حمایت کیا کرتے تھے اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے لئے غصہ ہوتے تھے ؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ( اسی وجہ سے ) وہ صرف ٹخنوں تک جہنم میں ہیں اگر میں ان کی سفارش نہ کرتا تو وہ دوزخ کی تہ میں بالکل نیچے ہوتے ۔
Sahih Bukhari 3883 – Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم مَا أَغْنَيْتَ عَنْ عَمِّكَ فَإِنَّهُ كَانَ يَحُوطُكَ وَيَغْضَبُ لَكَ. قَالَ " هُوَ فِي ضَحْضَاحٍ مِنْ نَارٍ، وَلَوْلاَ أَنَا لَكَانَ فِي الدَّرَكِ الأَسْفَلِ مِنَ النَّارِ ".
