Sahih Bukhari 3833 – English Translation
In the pre-lslamic period of ignorance a flood of rain came and filled the valley in between the two mountains (around the Ka`ba). Sufyan, the transmitter, says: They considered it to be a great event.

زمانہ جاہلیت میں ایک مرتبہ سیلاب آیا کہ ( مکہ کی ) دونوں پہاڑیوں کے درمیان پانی ہی پانی ہو گیا سفیان نے بیان کیا کہ بیان کرتے تھے کہ اس حدیث کا ایک بہت بڑا قصہ ہے

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ كَانَ عَمْرٌو يَقُولُ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيَّبِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، قَالَ جَاءَ سَيْلٌ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَكَسَا مَا بَيْنَ الْجَبَلَيْنِ. قَالَ سُفْيَانُ وَيَقُولُ إِنَّ هَذَا لَحَدِيثٌ لَهُ شَأْنٌ.
