Sahih Bukhari 3810 – English Translation
"The Qur'an was collected in the lifetime of the Prophet (ﷺ) by four (men), all of whom were from the Ansar: Ubai, Mu`adh bin Jabal, Abu Zaid and Zaid bin Thabit رضی اللہ عنہم ." I asked Anas رضی اللہ عنہ , "Who is Abu Zaid?" He said, "One of my uncles."
Sahih Bukhari 3810 – Urdu Translation
نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے زمانے میں چار آدمی جن سب کا تعلق قبیلہ انصار سے تھا ، قرآن مجید جمع کرنے والے تھے ، ابی بن کعب ، معاذ بن جبل ، ابوزید اور زید بن ثابت رضی اللہ عنہم ، میں نے پوچھا : ابوزید کون ہیں ؟ انہوں نے فرمایا کہ وہ میرے ایک چچا ہیں ۔

حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ جَمَعَ الْقُرْآنَ عَلَى عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَرْبَعَةٌ، كُلُّهُمْ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ أُبَىٌّ، وَمُعَاذُ بْنُ جَبَلٍ، وَأَبُو زَيْدٍ، وَزَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ. قُلْتُ لأَنَسِ مَنْ أَبُو زَيْدٍ قَالَ أَحَدُ عُمُومَتِي.
