Sahih Bukhari 3808 – English Translation
`Abdullah bin Masud رضی اللہ عنہما was mentioned before `Abdullah bin `Amr who said, "That is a man I still love, as I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) saying 'Learn the recitation of Qur'an from four from `Abdullah bin Mas`ud — he started with him–Salim, the freed slave of Abu Hudaifa, Mu`adh bin Jabal رضی اللہ عنہ and Ubai bin Ka`b رضی اللہ عنہ ."
Sahih Bukhari 3808 – Urdu Translation
اس وقت سے ان کی محبت میرے دل میں بیٹھ گئی جب سے میں نے رسول کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو یہ فرماتے سنا کہ قرآن چار آدمیوں سے سیکھو ، عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہما سے ، آنحضرت صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انہیں کے نام سے ابتداء کی ، اور ابوحذیفہ رضی اللہ عنہ کے غلام سالم سے ، معاذ بن جبل رضی اللہ عنہ سے اور ابی بن کعب رضی اللہ عنہ سے ۔

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، قَالَ ذُكِرَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ عِنْدَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو فَقَالَ ذَاكَ رَجُلٌ لاَ أَزَالُ أُحِبُّهُ، سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ " خُذُوا الْقُرْآنَ مِنْ أَرْبَعَةٍ مِنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ـ فَبَدَأَ بِهِ ـ وَسَالِمٍ مَوْلَى أَبِي حُذَيْفَةَ، وَمُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ، وَأُبَىِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ ".
