Sahih Bukhari 3789 – English Translation
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The best of the Ansar's families (homes) are those of Banu An-Najjar and then (those of) Banu `Abdul Ash-hal, then (those of) Banu Al-Harith bin Al-Khazraj and then (those of) Banu Sa`ida; nevertheless, there is good in all the families (houses) of the Ansar." On this, Sa`d (bin Ubada رضی اللہ عنہ ) said, "I see that the Prophet (ﷺ) has preferred some people to us." Somebody said (to him), "No, but he has given you superiority to many." And Abdul Samad said: Shu'ba narrated from us, Qatadah narrated from him, I heard from Hazrat Anas رضی اللہ عنہ and Abu Aseed رضی اللہ عنہ narrated from him the same hadith from the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. The name of Saad's father is mentioned as Ubada.
Sahih Bukhari 3789 – Urdu Translation
نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ، بنو نجار کا گھرانہ انصار میں سے سب سے بہتر گھرانہ ہے پھر بنو عبدالاشہل کا ، پھر بنو الحارث بن خزرج کا ، پھر بنو ساعدہ بن کعب بن خزرج اکبر کا ، ، جو اوس کا بھائی تھا ، خزرج اکبر اور اوس دونوں حارثہ کے بیٹے تھے اور انصار کا ہر گھرانہ عمدہ ہی ہے ۔ سعد بن عبادہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ میرا خیال ہے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انصار کے کئی قبیلوں کو ہم پر فضیلت دی ہے ، ان سے کسی نے کہا تجھ کو بھی تو بہت سے قبیلوں پر آنحضرت صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فضیلت دی ہے اور عبدالصمد نے کہا کہ ہم سے شعبہ نے بیان کیا ، ان سے قتادہ نے بیان کیا ، میں نے حضرت انس رضی اللہ عنہ سے سنا اور ان سے ابواسید رضی اللہ عنہ نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے یہی حدیث بیان کی ، اس روایت میں سعد کے باپ کا نام عبادہ مذکور ہے ۔

حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا غُنْدَرٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي أُسَيْدٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : خَيْرُ دُورِ الْأَنْصَارِ : بَنُو النَّجَّارِ ، ثُمَّ بَنُو عَبْدِ الْأَشْهَلِ ، ثُمَّ بَنُو الْحَارِثِ بْنِ خَزْرَجٍ ، ثُمَّ بَنُو سَاعِدَةَ وَفِي كُلِّ دُورِ الْأَنْصَارِ خَيْرٌ ، فَقَالَ سَعْدٌ : مَا أَرَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَّا قَدْ فَضَّلَ عَلَيْنَا ، فَقِيلَ : قَدْ فَضَّلَكُمْ عَلَى كَثِيرٍ ، وَقَالَ عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ ، سَمِعْتُ أَنَسًا ، قَالَ أَبُو أُسَيْدٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِهَذَا ، وَقَالَ : سَعْدُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ.
