Sahih Bukhari 3764 – English Translation
Muawiya رضی اللہ عنہ offered one rak`a witr prayer after the `Isha prayer, and at that time a freed slave of Ibn `Abbas رضی اللہ عنہما was present. He (i.e. the slave) went to Ibn `Abbas رضی اللہ عنہما (and told him that Muawiya رضی اللہ عنہ offered one rak`a witr prayer). Ibn `Abbas رضی اللہ عنہما said, "Leave him, for he was in the company of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)."
Sahih Bukhari 3764 – Urdu Translation
حضرت معاویہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے عشاء کے بعد وتر کی نماز صرف ایک رکعت پڑھی ، وہیں حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کے مولیٰ ( کریب ) بھی موجود تھے ، جب وہ حضرت ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئے تو ( حضرت امیر معاویہ رضی اللہ عنہ کی ایک رکعت وتر کا ذکر کیا ) اس پر انہوں نے کہا : کوئی حرج نہیں ہے ، انہوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی صحبت اٹھائی ہے ۔

حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعَافَى، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ الأَسْوَدِ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، قَالَ أَوْتَرَ مُعَاوِيَةُ بَعْدَ الْعِشَاءِ بِرَكْعَةٍ وَعِنْدَهُ مَوْلًى لاِبْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، فَأَتَى ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ فَقَالَ دَعْهُ، فَإِنَّهُ صَحِبَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم.
