Sahih Bukhari 3697 – English Translation
During the lifetime of the Prophet (ﷺ) we considered Abu Bakr رضی اللہ عنہ as peerless and then `Umar and then `Uthman رضی اللہ عنہ (coming next to him in superiority) and then we used not to differentiate between the companions of the Prophet. Without giving them superiority to one another, Abdullah (bin Sualih) has also reported from Abdul Azeez in the same way.
Sahih Bukhari 3697 – Urdu Translation
نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے عہد میں ہم حضرت ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ کے برابر کسی کونہیں قرار دیتے تھے ۔ پھر حضرت عمر رضی اللہ عنہ کو پھر حضرت عثمان رضی اللہ عنہ کو ۔ اس کے بعد حضور اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے صحابہ پر ہم کوئی بحث نہیں کرتے تھے اور کسی کوایک دوسرے پر فضیلت نہیں دیتے تھے ، اس حدیث کو عبداللہ بن صالح نے بھی عبدالعزیز سے روایت کیا ہے ۔
Sahih Bukhari 3697 – Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمِ بْنِ بَزِيغٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شَاذَانُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ الْمَاجِشُونُ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ قَالَ كُنَّا فِي زَمَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم لاَ نَعْدِلُ بِأَبِي بَكْرٍ أَحَدًا ثُمَّ عُمَرَ ثُمَّ عُثْمَانَ، ثُمَّ نَتْرُكُ أَصْحَابَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم لاَ نُفَاضِلُ بَيْنَهُمْ. تَابَعَهُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ.
